This typeface was designed to be used in magazine body copy.

Caffè São Paulo was developed during the years 2014 & 2015, while attending to the Type@Cooper program on typeface design, in New York.

The first styles are Roman and Italic, but other weights and a larger character set are on the way. Caffè São Paulo 18px_ The Book used as a model for the typeface design was analyzed and photographed in the Rare Book Division, at the New York Public Library, on September and October, 2014. El libro usado como modelo para el diseño de la tipografía Caffè São Paulo fue impreso por Giambattista Bodoni en 1781. Caffè São Paulo 14px_ Caffè São Paulo Roman Caffè São Paulo Italic Caffè São Paulo is a learning project started in 2014 at the Type@Cooper program in typeface design. By the end of the program, I had a good character set for the Roman and Italic, but they still need some new glyphs to fully cover at least 3 languages: Portuguese, Spanish and English.
As for the entire Caffè São Paulo family, 2 more weights will be designed Bold (for the Roman) and Bold Italic.
